PS5 HDMI Port Dead? Here’s What It Means and How to Fix It

Why it happens

The HDMI port is a physical connector that takes a beating. Repeated plugging and unplugging, moving the console, or even a slightly bent cable can loosen the solder joints inside. Once those joints crack, the signal dies even though the console itself is fine.

What you can try first

•  Try a different HDMI cable and a different port on your TV

•  Power cycle the console — hold the power button for 10 seconds, unplug for 30, plug back in

•  Check the port for bent pins or debris

If none of that works, the port itself needs replacing.
